The Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force searched for 13 people Wednesday morning during a drug roundup.
Eleven of the 13 people had been arrested as of noon Wednesday, according to Bridgeport Police Chief & Chairman of the Task Force John Walker.
The individuals were being sought on various warrants related to illegal drug trafficking in the Stonewood area, Walker said.
Search warrants were executed at two locations, where the task force confiscated 89 stamps of heroin, a half-pound of marijuana, $1,000 in cash, and 23 firearms, Walker said.
The majority of the arrests are connected to recent heroin and fentanyl-related cases, according to Walker.
The West Virginia State Police, the Harrison County Sheriff's Department Special Response Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Marshal Service assisted the task force.
