UPDATE: All Patients 'Stable' After Route 20 Accident

UPDATE (9/6/17 at 5 p.m.):

According to Chief Deputy Brett Carpenter, all patients involved in the Route 20 accident are now in stable condition.


A station wagon and pickup truck traveling along Route 20 collided Tuesday evening near the Natty Creek area of Barbour County.

A man and a woman were in the pickup truck, and two men were in the station wagon.

One patient was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Three other patients were taken to local hospitals by Barbour County Emergency Medical Services.

There is no word yet as to what caused the collision or the patients' conditions.  

WV Natural Resource Police, The Philippi Volunteer Fire Department and West Virginia State Police all assisted at the scene. The Barbour County Sheriff's Department will handle the investigation.
