A new tool for the Lewis County Assessor's Office is already making a big impact for county residents.
Starting earlier this month, the office is now offering online assessment filing.
County residents can now do all their work for assessments on personal property over the assessor's website.
Assessor John Breen said the new tool's simplicity is already making it well-received.
"With being able to go online and do that, it'll tell you whether to add or remove or if everything's the same, so adding a vehicle or a boat or a four wheeler is a piece of cake," Breen said.
Breen said about 150 people have already filed using the site in the first month, the same number he had hoped to see in the first year.
