FISHKILL, NY – The West Virginia Black Bears lost the rubber match in their three-game series with the Hudson Valley Renegades 2-1 Thursday night.
The Renegades held a 1-0 lead until the top of the sixth inning when Lucas Tancas drove in Michael De La Cruz to tie the game. Hudson Valley answered that run to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI triple.
Beau Sulser picked up his first loss of the season in the series finale with Hudson Valley. The Black Bears will return home and begin a three-game series with the Staten Island Yankees Friday at 7:05 p.m.
