A new airline is one step closer to calling the North Central West Virginia Airport home.
The airport is endorsing a proposal from Skywest Airlines air service.
Skywest Airlines operates under the United Express designation and is part of the United Network.
Skywest submitted a proposal to offer daily flights to Chicago's O'hare airport and Dulles airport in Washington D.C.
Airport officials said the airline would be a perfect fit.
Rick Rock, director, said "Skywest was clearly the one we think that fits best for us, that can help our market grow, help our community and really have an airline that will support the business traveler but also have all the ammentities for leisure travel.
The selection is now open for public discussion.
