UPDATE (7/3/17 at 5 p.m.):
One man has been charged following a police chase ending in a vehicle accident Sunday night.
Charles Masters, 43, was believed to be driving on a suspended license when he ran from law enforcement in Lewis County on Interstate 79, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. Once Masters entered Harrison County, he made it approximately four miles before crashing the vehicle, deputies said.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department will handle the accident, and Lewis County deputies are expected to handle any charges related to the chase.
A police chase ended in a crash Monday morning in Harrison County.
911 dispatchers said the chase started around 3:30 a.m. in Lewis County when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle.
Officers said the chase ended when the vehicle rolled over and crashed by the Lost Creek exit, near mile marker 109 in the northbound lanes on Interstate 79.
The driver of the vehicle was flown by HealthNet to Ruby Memorial Hospital. There's no word on the extent of the driver's injuries at this time.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation.
