Innovators and entrepreneurs were in Morgantown Thursday hoping to turn the heads of investors.
These innovators are pitching their ideas at the TransTech Energy Business Start-Up Competition.
Up for grabs: nearly $50,000 in prize money. But the greater goal of TransTech is to influence the energy industry through these ideas.
“We would like this to be part of an effort that creates new businesses in our region -- in the multi-state region -- new businesses, good jobs and prosperous communities," said Carl Irwin of TransTech. "That’s really the long-term goal."
The conference wraps up Friday at the Waterfront Place Hotel.
