Marion County Commission has received more than $133,000 for this year's community corrections grant.
Commission president Butch Tennant said county officials were pleasantly surprised by the amount of funding provided, which is used for the operation of the county's daily report center.
Drug court counseling is also part of that program.
Tennant said the grant money will help save jail costs as well. The daily report center is located on Adams Street, next to the Marion County Historical Society.
