A local CEOS club was celebrating a big anniversary today.
The Brushy Fork CEOS club held its regular meeting in Upshur County this afternoon, 100 years to the day after the club held its first meeting in 1914.
Club members shared memories about the growth of the club, and looked ahead at some of the projects the club is working on in coming months.
The CEOS was founded as the Farm Women's Club, but that role has changed over the years.
"The clubs have changed and changed their focus as the need of women in communities has changed as well in the past hundred years," said extension agent Craig Presar.
Brushy Fork was the first club founded in the state.
