The tour is at 1 p.m. on September 13 at Center Hall in Arthurdale along Route 92. Learn more about historic preservation and see how it's benefited a Hodgson house, one of the original 50 houses for homestead families at the nation's first New Deal homestead community. First used in 1934, the house known as E-2 has been restored for current use as a historic preservation site. A preservation discussion will begin at 1 p.m. with a tour of the home to follow. The event is part of the 80th anniversary of the founding of Arthurdale which was championed by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.
