A fugitive from New Jersey has been taken into custody in Taylor County.
Sheriff Terring Skinner said his deputies received information earlier this afternoon that Jamie Adametz, who is wanted by the Essex County Prosecutor, was in the Boothsville area.
Adametz, who was wanted for failure to appear for sentencing, was originally facing drug charges and had a caution indicator for aggravated assault with a weapon and resisting arrest.
Taylor County deputies and state troopers went to Boothsville apartments, where Adametz was taken into custody without incident.
Adametz is being arraigned in court on Wednesday and will be taken to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await extradition.
