The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the people killed in a Sunday morning accident on Fairmont Road. Jobe Haney and Travis Penrose, both 18 of Morgantown were pronounced dead at the scene. Haney was driving a Pontiac Sunfire and Penrose was in the passenger's seat, deputies said. A 16-year-old boy, whose name has not been released was in the back seat of the car and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Steve Walker, 48 of Morgantown, was driving the other vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. He and his passenger, Rose Walker, 43 of Morgantown, were also both taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to the sheriff's department.
The accident is still under investigation.
Two people died Sunday morning after a vehicle accident in Monongalia County.
The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident on Fairmont Road, about a mile south of Sugar Grove Road.
The Sheriff's Office said one of the vehicles was traveling north when it crossed into the south lane, and struck a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
Sheriff's Office said two people were pronounced dead at the scene and three were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. There is no word on the patient's names or conditions.
