Monongah Fest started in 1987 and continues to bring hundreds of people back to the town every year.
Saturday, The festival was held in the heart of the town. It brought together food booths, vendors, live music, and games for all ages. The event also had crafts tables and history news stands set up inside the Fire Department. Fire fighters said the event allows the community to get to know the department as a whole.
"It gives everyone a piece of mind that we are here. It also lets everyone know what we do for our community and it shows everyone we do care about our community, said Sean Flint, Monongah fire fighter.
