    The West Virginia Autism Training Center is expanding its reach in the state. WV ATC, located at Marshall University in Huntington, has partnered with Concord University to develop on-campus support in Athens for students who are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

    The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network and West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence are getting help from Verizon's HopeLine program to help those affected by domestic violence and child abuse.

 The Advanced Technology Center of South Central West Virginia, a part of BridgeValley Community and Technical College’s community outreach, will showcase its amenities and workforce training as part of a dedication ceremony at 3 p.m. Aug. 19.

West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education Chancellor James L. Skidmore will emcee the event.

Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin, Maj. Gen. General Hoyer and Dennis Dio Parker, assistant manager of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing are scheduled to speak at the dedication, which will take place in the ATC’s large training room.

Guests will be invited to take self-guided tours of the facility, and faculty trainers as well as students will be in each room to answer questions.
