Glenville State basketball's 2013-14 season was one for the record books, ending in the Pioneers' first NCAA Tournament appearance. 12Sports Caught up with head coach Stephen Dye in the 12Sports Coach's Minute.
Glenville will add 12 new players in 2014, replacing stars like Dante Morales and Kevin Gray.
"The talent is there, at least on paper," said Dye. "We just have to figure out how to play together. That's what made us good last year. I think if we can do that, we'll be better than we were last year."
Morales and Gray combined to average 30-plus points a year ago. Morales led the team in rebounding, Gray led in three point shooting.
Dye's new squad will enter the year in the new WACO Center, a new jewel that is attracting a lot of attention.
"We're in a $30 million facility, and we have the lights and glamour we're just ready for the action," said Dye.
