Bridgeport Board of Zoning met Tuesday night to discuss and consider zoning variances brought by Progress Properties, LLC who owns White Oaks Development.
Wells Fargo Advisors located in the development wants to have a sign placed outside its establishment in the business park. The variance request was related to sings and graphic signs that on property that already has specified rules and regulations for those types of signs.
“We decided that it was important to maintain the integrity of the zoning rules and regulations, and we didn’t want to set a precedence for other tenants to come and request similar variances. While Well Fargo’s sign proposal was tasteful, it did not fall within our rules and regulations so that’s why it was denied,” said Meredith McCarthy, Bridgeport Board of Zoning.
Progress Properties, LLC is in negotiation with Wells Fargo Advisors about the signage negotiation and lease renewals in the business park.
