The United Way of Marion County has announce its fundraising goal for its 2014 campaign.
Local officials, donors and potential donors were in attendance at the United Way’s Kickoff Breakfast.
The non-profit plans to raise $425,000 by the end of the year.
Campaign chair Vera Sansalone said the slogan “Score One for United Way: Everyone Wins” really resonates with community.
Everybody is passionate about sports teams, whether it’s a little league team, a soccer team, Pittsburgh Steelers; we all have a favorite team that we cheer on. We come together and support that team,” said Sansalone.
“Everybody always anticipating seeing the video, and it just helps to create the energy for the campaign,” said Tiffany Samuels, United Way of Marion County.
The keynote speaker at the event was Fairmont State swimming coach, Pat Snively.
