The 2nd annual Pet Expo allowed shoppers the opportunity to bring their dog or cat to the Morgantown Mall.
"People just love to bring their pets wherever they go. So we allow them to bring them in the mall and have a shopping experience with them. They just like to bring their pets in the mall with them," said Sarah Shaffer, mall marketing director.
Different vendors were set up throughout the mall to provide information regarding pet safety. Animal Friends was also on hand to help find homes for animals in need.
"It does raise awareness that we're out there and that these animals do need homes. We pull our animals primarily from kill shelters so they're getting a second opportunity at life. We're strictly a no kill shelter so they stay with us until they're adopted or learn to drive as we say," said Valerie Holsinger, of Animal Friends.
About half of the stores in the mall put signs up to let customers know their pets were allowed in that particular store.
Owners even had the chance to get their picture taken with their pet by a professional photographer.
