Extreme Sports Opens Its Doors In The Meadowbrook Mall

Posted: Updated:

Extreme Sports opened its doors to the public Friday in the Meadowbrook Mall offering many unique sporting items.

What started three years for owner, Tim Ingram, as a hobby shop in the air soft industry has turned into a niche business for that’s thriving for his family. They offer things like air soft guns, RC cars, skate boards, clothing apparel and many more items.

“We all go to the mall, our wife’s, our girlfriends shop; the men sit on the bench. We needed a big boy toy store, so that’s what we’re trying to create here and hopefully the concept works and so far the response today, I think it’s been a hit,” said Ingram.

Ingram also said without the help of his friends and family he wouldn’t have been able to open today and appreciates all their help.

“My son, Brody, he sort of came up with the concept there when he was eleven that we should open our own store; he was into the air soft, and fire arms safety. We love to shoot real weapons as well and after being pretty persistent, I decided to go with it. He has since done a tremendous job in giving us ideas as to what we should sell as with the customers response and feedback you have to listen to the younger generation with the urban clothing and the different things that are trending with the younger generation now days we have to go with it and he done a fabulous job, and he’s a great kid. I’m looking forward to turning the business over to him someday,” said Ingram.

They are still in the progress of getting more products placed on display and if there is something they don’t have in the store they will order it for you.
