Fourteen children around North Central West Virginia who have disabilities received bikes through the My Bike program Thursday afternoon.
Local businessman Andrew Lang and his wife, Lisa, were instrumental in bringing the program to West Virginia from Pennsylvania. Since 2012, Variety has given away 650 bikes and 50 of those were throughout West Virginia, said organizers.
Each adaptive bike costs approximately $1,800. After the kids received their bikes, they had a parade.
