UPDATE (10/29 at 1:45 p.m.):
A Bridgeport woman was sentenced in Harrison County court Thursday morning.
Brittany Jones, 26, was denied the option of alternative sentencing, such as probation, and was sentenced to one to five years in prison, according to an assistant prosecuting attorney.
Jones was charged with one count of felony child neglect creating risk of injury after State Police found that her baby was born with heroin in her system. Jones also regularly took her infant child and 5-year-old child with her when she purchased and used illegal drugs in 2014.

A woman arrested on four felony child neglect charges pleaded guilty Monday morning.
Brittany Jones, 26, pleaded guilty to one count of felony child neglect creating risk of injury and is scheduled for sentencing October 29 at 9 a.m.
The West Virginia State Police Crimes Against Children Unit has arrested a Bridgeport woman on child neglect charges.
Sgt. Adam Scott arrested Brittany Marie Jones, 24, for four felony counts of child neglect creating the risk of injury after receiving information that Jones' baby was born in May with heroin in her system. During the investigation, Sgt. Scott learned Jones regularly took her infant child and 5-year-old child with her when she purchased and used illegal drugs, according to state police.
Jones was arraigned in Harrison County Magistrate Court and released on a $16,000 cash or surety bond.
