The 12 Sports Coach's Minute caught up with Fairmont State's Jason Woodman.
The Falcons enter Woodman's second year looking to improve on it's 3-7 record. As players prepare to come to campus, Woodman said finalizing housing, transcripts and paperwork is important to get out of the way before players arrive.
A year ago, Freshman quarterback Cooper Hibbs was a bright spot on the team, finishing fifth in yards, and passer efficiency.
Woodman spoke about several former Morgantown football players, Chazzy Thomas and several of his offensive lineman. He believes they can make an impact as freshman.
"That's why we recruited them because we thought they were that kind of players," said Woodman. "Players that can come in and make a difference. But it's hard to tell. We hope they are ready when they come in here and in shape, and ready to roll. But college is different, there are a lot of different schematics and the speed of the game."
