Veterans Administration Welcoming Patients To New Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Tucker County

Posted: Updated:

The Veterans Administration has a new community based outpatient clinic building in Tucker County.

The V-A said the need for a new building was because of growth and new services for veterans.

The more than 3,000 square foot clinic offers three exam rooms for primary care, a conference room, and a virtual care room where patients can see specialists by way of video conferencing at another facility.

V-A officials said the clinic can provide services closer to home.

"So typically if you have access closer to your home, your more likely to follow through with your appointments. So we're out looking for the health of our veterans, so it provides them with better access so they're more compliant to get to their appointments on a regular basis," said Ronald Sandreth, operations manager.

The clinic also features a wall of honor to display photos of veterans.

Outpatient Based Community Clinics through the V-A are also located in Flatwoods, Parkersburg, and Westover.
