Doddridge County residents were able to get some advice Thursday night regarding oil and natural gas leases thanks to the West Virginia University Extension Service.
WVU Extension and Moundsville West Virginia lawyer, Eric Gordon, were on hand to answer questions from the public about oil and natural gas leases. They were able to answer questions ranging from topics on drilling to mineral rights laws.
“It’s dealing with money now and money in the future and its also dealing with the surface of your property and how its going to be used now and going forward, so I do feel that it is beneficial that they not necessarily contact our office but they do contact an attorney,” said Eric Gordon, Lawyer at Berry, Kessler, Crutchfield, Taylor and Gordon.
Residents were also able to get their leases and amendments looked at by Gordon for his advice on what should be discussed in renewals and amendments.
