The Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation will give $150,000 to two West Virginia towns participating in the Turn This Town Around Project.
The towns of Grafton and Matewan will receive up to $75,000 each in grants to help pay for 20 revitalization projects in each community.
In Grafton, the campaign is nearly half way complete as the city buckles down to complete revitalization projects.
Amanda Yager, Director of Community Strategies, said "They are turning the town around and getting everyone excited about Grafton. They're talking about bringing a lot more small businesses to the city and just bringing more people into the city."
A team of at least three people have to work on a project, and commit to attending workshops.
The next Grafton Turn This Town Around meeting is July 21 at 6 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd. The meeting will serve as a progress report for the project teams before they file their application for a mini grant.
