July golf in the Mountain State is all about the Greenbrier, but golf in August is about the Big "I" National Championship.
The Big "I" will be held this year at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport.
The tournament will feature more than 160 of the top youth golfers in the country, including several local kids.
Tiger woods is one of several teens to have won the tournament twice. Stars like Phil Mickelson and Webb Simpson have also played in the annual tournament.
"It's a neat thing to have a tournament like this in this area," said Tim Dyer, the Host State Chairman. "From a financial standpoint there are going to be a lot of people coming to the area, staying in the hotels, and eating at the restaurants and it's been estimated that the prior tournaments have brought in around $1 million dollars to the area."
The tournament is still looking for volunteers and host families. If you want more information on how you can help out contact Dyer at 304-669-7954.
