National Fashion Designer Returns to WV Roots to Sell Accessories

Posted: Updated:
A nationally-recognized fashion designer has returned to her roots in West Virginia to sell her products in downtown Fairmont.

Designer Beth Keener and her business manager, Melissa Craig, met at the former Fairmont State College and later began selling hand-painted clutches.

They've done runway shows in Miami, Washington, DC, and Nashville, but set up shop inside the Fashion Scene in downtown Fairmont for a trunk show.

Keener and Craig said it's good to be home while expanding their business.

"We're surrounded today by friends and family, so this could not be more exciting," said Craig.

"We can go to Miami and do a huge show, and we have, but if you've noticed here, when people come through the door, they hug us. We don't get that in Miami," said Keener.

The show continues on Saturday from noon to 5.

You can find more information about Beth Keener on her website.
