The Vintage Restaurant and Wine Bar in Elkins opened in April, and in that time it's really made a favorable impression with those who walk through its doors.
"Here at Vintage, we're committed to setting new standards in the region's restaurant community. We work together to provide for the Elkins community and Randolph County access to a casual fine dining experience," said Scotty Marshall, owner.
You would never know looking inside that this was formerly an auto parts store. The ambiance lets you know you're in for a fine, casual, dining experience.
"We have a wine selection. We have the brick oven to incorporate a wood fire menu as well, but for the casual price," Marshall said.
The restaurant can accommodate a small party of two or several people in one of its larger rooms. Besides the regular seating, you'll find one special room that's named for a famous crooner.
"If you look back through history of Frank Sinatra eating with the Rat Pack. It's always in that style booth with the fan back half moon seats."
A large selection of wines, anywhere from low end to high end are available. Working with the chefs, Vintage came up with a new American menu, cowboy cut ribeye to the pizzas, and other fine dining dishes. Customers seem to take well to the menu.
"It's very very good. My wife is a chef so it's kind of hard to compare. Jocelyn likes it, so when the kids like and it's just as good as your wife's as a chef. You're okay," said Rogers Earl.
Marshall wants customers to enjoy their time when visiting the Vintage Restaurant and Wine Bar.
"I want them to remember their servers name. The ambiance of the restaurant, that glass of wine they've enjoyed, the dish they've devoured. I want them to walk out those doors, and can't wait to come back," Marshall said.
Vintage Restaurant is open Monday through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays is brunch hours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays is Italian night. On June 28, the restaurant will have its official grand opening celebration with live music and prize giveaways.
