A four day event filled with fabric, quilting fun, and prizes starts Wednesday.
The Mountain Quilt Quest, a West Virginia Quilt Shop Adventure, allows fans to take in 12 quilt shops throughout the state.
Each will have a different pattern and fabric kit.
The 12 kits can then be used to make one quilt to remember the trip. A special fabric made each year featuring West Virginia will be available. Shop owners said visitors plan their vacations around this.
"Their addicted to it, just like we are. This is want they wanted to do, and they want to be sure to see the special fabric since we have fabric designed every year, and this year is really pretty, said Linda Childers, owner of The Stitching House in Buckhannon.
A bus group from Pittsburgh will be visiting four quilt shops on Saturday. They will be at Morgantown, Clarksburg, Elkins, and Buckhannon.
Last year, seven states and Canada toured the state getting quilting ideas.
