The Tucker County Commission held a recount on Friday for the county's school levy and for the 47th District of the West Virginia House of Delegates.
During the May primary election, the levy lost by three votes, and three votes separated house of delegates candidates Ken Auvil and Tammy Stemple.
After it was all done, the levy still fell short by two votes, and Stemple still retained her win in Tucker County.
School Superintendent Eddie Campbell said the disappointment for the school levy is felt all around the school system.
"The disappointment is really for the kids. That's why we ran this levy, it was student oorientated and to come up that short, we're really feeling it for the kids," said Campbell.
The final tally for the levy was 687 for and 689 against.
The last recount the county had was back in 2002.
