On Thursday night, Lewis County marked the 40th stop on Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's statewide listening tour about the economy and challenges local businesses and residents face.
At the Lewis County Senior Center, Morrisey addressed several concerns from residents, including the Charleston water crisis and the quality of care at VA hospitals. Morrisey said his goal is to learn the unique needs of each county.
"I think a lot of the counties we've seen struggle in terms of their economic recoveries, and one of the things we're trying to do through these town halls is to really identify ways that the Attorney General's office can be helpful, to ensure that our state is going to reach her economic potential," said Morrisey.
The event was free to the public. Business owners and representatives from organizations were also encouraged to attend.
After leaving the Lewis County Senior Center, Morrisey headed down to Braxton County for Stop #41. Morrisey said his goal is to make it to each and every county in the state.
