Former Harrison County Process Server Facing Additional Charges, Others Indicted on Drug Charges
A federal grand jury has indicted 7 people on drug charges alleging conspiracy to distribute prescription painkillers.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced Monday that Jason Marple, 35, of Clarksburg, Casey Searcy, 33, of Salem, Christopher Michael Walls, 29, of Clarksburg, Chad Alton Register, 31, of Anmoore, Russell Powers, 49, of Clarksburg, George Powers, 34, of Clarksburg, Dedreayl Maddox, 29, of Fairmont were each named in a fifteen count superseding indictment charging them with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone. The superseding indictment also includes distribution of oxycodone, distributing oxycodone without 1,000 feet of a playground, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, and maintaining drug-involved premises.
The superseding indictment also carries a forfeiture allegation where the United States seeks to forfeit $1,886 in currency, a 2003 Harley Davidson Heritage Softtail motorcycle, firearms, and tools that were seized from the defendants and derived from proceeds obtained directly from the offenses alleged.
