Hogs and Heroes hosted a helmet drive collecting money in their helmets along the side of the road in Monongalia County a few weeks ago to benefit Stepping Stones.

On Wednesday, at Miracle Field,
Stepping Stones was presented a check to help with renovations of the field.  Stepping Stones' goal is to help people with disabilities, to be able to maximize their potential through recreation.

“Miracle Field is something that Stepping Stones is very proud of, its something that we program. The field is actually owned by Mylan Park, but operated and programmed by stepping stones, and we’re in our tenth season, there’s a lot of improvements that need to be done and so that money is going to go to that cause, and we’ll get some things done around here,” said Monica Marietta, Stepping Stones Director.

Hogs and Heroes raised $2,170 to help improve Miracle Field. Some Hogs and Heroes also joined in Wednesday evening practicing with the kids, their baseball season starts next week.
