Augusta Heritage Center Names Interim Director

An interim director has been appointed at the Augusta Heritage Center in Randolph County.

Beth King was recently chosen to serve as interim director for the center.

King also is the general manager of the Myles Center for the Arts at Davis & Elkins College.

College officials said King brings a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding arts administration, education, and funding.

King said the Augusta Heritage Center is getting ready for a big season once again.

“We're striving to preserve traditional arts and music, and just with a vide variety of arts, crafts, and folklore, and arts classes as well. So each week touches on a different aspect of traditional music, and the crafts running all summer long,” said King.

Before joining D&E, King was executive director of the Randolph County Community Arts Center.
