WVU students will be moving back home soon and some will be leaving a lot behind.
The 10th annual Blue and Gold Mine Sale will begin collections on Monday for everything from clothing to mattresses.
There are several drop off points around the area, including Milan Puskar Stadium.
“Bring money into our community and work with local nonprofits. And for us, at WVU in recycling services, we love this sale because we are able to give our students another avenue of taking those pieces of material. Rather than throwing them in the landfill,” said Stephanie Toothman, of WVU Recycling Services.
The event raised more than $15,000 last year.
This year’s sale will be on May 17. The sale will be held in the East Concourse of the Milan Puskar football stadium. General admission is free and begins at 8:30 am. The early bird special begins at 7:00 am for only a $4 admission fee.
All proceeds are donated to the United Way. For more information on donation locations and items to donate, follow the link provided: http://unitedway.wvu.edu/blueandgoldmine.
