health groups are asking the community to tell them what kind of services they need. Fairmont
General Hospital, its foundation, and the county health department are asking people to take a community health needs assessment.
The online survey fulfills a new requirement of the Affordable Care Act.
It can be risk factors, it can be priorities.
Different groups like the Foundation, Hospice, and different nursing homes and other organizations like the Health Department can use to prioritize what they needed to do in the community," said Whitney Hatcher, FGH Foundation.
Participants in the survey do not have to reveal personal information, but give their honest opinions, and share their habits and belief when it comes to health care. They also will be asked to select the top five health problems that impact their overall health the most.
The Foundation said the survey will take about 10 minutes.
