The Fairmont Police Department has arrested three men in connection to a Tuesday morning armed robbery.
Stephen Joseph Brewington, 26, of Massachusetts, Corey Joseph Richardson, 35, of Maryland, and Wallace Anthony Booth, Jr., 21 of Fairmont are each charged with robbery, burglary, and conspiracy to commit a felony. Fairmont police were called to a Green Street home after a homeowner noticed three men holding handguns and attempting to enter his house. The homeowner tried to shut a door on the men but they forced their way inside the residence and held the homeowner at gunpoint, according to a criminal complaint.
Brewington, Richardson, and Booth took the man's wallet, cell phone, iPad, and approximately $800 before leaving the residence, said the criminal complaint filed by Patrolman C.D. Noechel. The three men were located in the alley behind the 300 block of Walnut Avenue and the 300 block of Fairmont Avenue. The homeowner was able to positively identify the men who entered his home.
Brewington, Richardson, and Booth were arraigned by a Marion County Magistrate with bail set at $180,000 bail each.
