The WVU engineering and business schools signed a unique agreement Wednesday.
Engineering students can now finish with a MBA in only one extra year.
The Four-Plus-One program provides the students with the ability to complete their schooling in five years and have more career opportunities.
"Having that stronger business background is very, very important to them. Many of these students will go on to create their own companies or work with smaller companies and having an MBA really tied together with their engineering is really important. So we're excited about that and more students expect that today and would like to follow that career," said Gene Cilento, of the WVU College of Engineering.
Both the engineering and business schools have nationally ranked programs.
