Randolph County Commission has approved an $8.3 million budget for the 2014-2015 year.
Commissioner Mike Taylor said the only sizeable increase was from the sheriff's office to cover equipment costs, and the salary for a new deputy.
The budget includes a 2 percent pay raise for employees and $50,000 for the YMCA pool renovation project. The commission said that allocation was agreed upon if the Y would provide free swim time for kids under 12 during designated hours.
The budget doesn't include any tax increase.
Taylor said the commission will keep an eye on the coal severance tax since some counties are seeing a decrease.
