One person was taken to the hospital following a stabbing on Sunday morning.
The Clarksburg Police Department said it happened around 1:15 a.m. on Baltimore Avenue in Clarksburg in front of the housing authority.
Police said it started as a disagreement between two people, and escalated to two different people fighting.
The victim was stabbed in the upper right chest, and was driven to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
Police said the victim is in guarded condition, which is higher than critical.
The police have a person of interest, and are waiting to gather all the information before an arrest can be made.
Police are still investigating and reviewing security footage to determine witnesses, and possible other suspects.
*Clarification* Officials initially told 12 News that the stabbing happened near Humperdinx Bar. Investigators later said that it happened in front of the Clarksburg-Harrison Housing Authority. We apologize for the confusion.

The incident happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
Clarksburg Police said a fight had broken out, and it was unclear if the stabbing was intentional or in self defense.
One person was taken to United Hospital Center by somebody who was at the scene.
It remains under investigation.
