Students Strut for Non-Profit

Posted: Updated:

West Virginia University student members of the Public Relations Student Society of America and the Fashion Business Association partnered up to host the fifth annual Boys and Girls Club Fashion Show on Wednesday, March 5.

Members of PRSSA modeled clothing and accessories from Morgantown retailers, including Ashley Cole shop, Coni & Franc, Park & Madison, Altered Ego, and Cowboys and Angels.

The show also featured clothing designed by students from the Fashion Business Association.

The show benefited the Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe place for children to learn and grow through a positive atmosphere. The program promotes and enhances the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.

PRSSA member and fashion show co-director Brittany Crossetti said the best part of the show will be when she gets to present a nice check to the Boys and Girls Club of Morgantown.

"It's just so rewarding to see what all of your hard work is going towards, and presenting them a check at the end of our show is just going to be the icing on the cake. It's kind of the moment that everything has been leading up to, just to see the look on their faces," said Crossetti.
