A local police department will be getting some upgrades to its fleet of cruisers.
The Weston Police Department has received a USDA grant for the purchase of a new all-wheel drive police cruiser.
The new vehicle will be the latest addition to the city's four-wheel drive fleet, and City Manager, Michelle Allen, said having the new vehicle will be a big help for the city.
"We do have some hills in the wintertime that probably all-wheel drive would get up the hills better so we can get to any kind of situation that they need to get to," said Allen.
Allen expects to have the vehicle sometime in April.
