Around 30 WVU students, including seven girls, have a very different look tonight; they shaved their heads for childhood cancer research Wednesday.
The event was part of the 'Go Bald for St. Baldricks' Cancer Foundation.
Students set a goal to raise $5,000 and more than doubled that number.
"Everyone was given the opportunity to raise money. There was no specific, you have to raise X amount of money. For those who did raise $50 then you did get a free t-shirt. Otherwise you could purchase a t-shirt for $10. And you could raise as much money as you want," said Abby Davis, of the ‘WVU Goes Bald' St. Baldricks Foundation.
St. Baldrick's puts all of the funds it receives toward childhood cancer research.
