Four individuals appeared in Federal Court in Clarksburg Wednesday.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that Markus Gerald Barnett, 33, of Clarksburg pleaded guilty for distributing crack cocaine within 1,000 ft. of the Oakmound Apartments. Barnett is free on bond sentence pending. He faces up to 40 years in prison and was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon S. Flower.
Stanley Dye Jr., 31 of Detroit, Michigan pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute oxycodone. Dye is in custody pending sentencing and faces up to 20 years in prison. This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn A. Morgan.
Veronica Lee Dougherty, 34, of Elkins pleaded guilty for intent to distribute marijuana. Dougherty is free on bond awaiting sentencing. She is facing up to five years in prison. This case was prosecuted by U.S. Assistant Attorney Stephen D. Warner and was investigated by the United States Postal Service.
Imani Nokia Walker, 25 from Brooklyn, New York pleaded guilty to conspiracy to utter counterfeit bills from Jan. 20, 2012 to Feb. 13, 2012 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Walker is free on bond pending sentencing. Walker faces five years in prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and investigated by the United States Secret Service.
