Harrison County students have missed nearly a month of school due to the weather.
While most schools are trying to plan make-up days, Notre Dame High School is already tackling the problem.
The students are staying an extra 45 minutes each day. Homeroom was also eliminated, which adds another 15 minutes to each day.
Guidance Counselor Jackie Reed said the students seem to like this option.
"That's in essence adding one extra school day per week for the next 12 weeks. The other options were, do we go until mid-June, do we go on Saturdays and have Sunday's off?" Reed said.
The Harrison County Board of Education will release its plan for make-up days in the near future.
