For those of you who get a little anxious before a flight and may need a drink to calm you down, you soon may be able to do so when flying out of the North Central West Virginia airport.
The Benedum Airport Authority is looking to obtain a liquor license so customers can purchase alcoholic beverages at the Snack Shack.
Airport director Rick Rock said with new evening flights in the near future, the airport authority wants to accommodate flyers' needs.
"In most major airports, you have that opportunity. We want to bring major airport amenities to our hometown airport. People have different wants, we just want to be able to provide them with whatever that may be, make them have the most pleasant experience that they can have," said Rock.
The airport authority is also looking into the possibility of adding more nonstop flights, naming Myrtle Beach, Tampa, and even Las Vegas as potential destinations.
