The International Campaign to band landmines is a global coalition of hundreds of organizations.
Proud Students Against Land Mines, or PSALM, at Saint Francis De Sales Catholic School is one of the only groups in the nation part of that coalition.
PSALM students were invited to Washington DC Wednesday to attend meetings hosted by the European Union.
"It's teaching them what they can do for others. It's one thing to see people out there suffering out there in the world or impacted by things that really they have no control over. It's one thing to know that, but it's a totally different thing to put that justice into action. This is our way to try and get our nation to sign the ban against landmines," said Arthur Moore, St. Francis de Sales Principal.
PSALM students were even featured on a pamphlet given to hundreds of nations earlier this year at the Geneva Convention.
