Senators John D Rockefeller IV, and Joe Manchin III announced the names of two West Virginia students who have been selected as delegates to the 52nd annual United States Senate Youth Program that will be held March 8-15, 2014 in Washington D.C.

Dominic Raymond, a junior at Trinity Christian School, and Adrienne Arnold, a senior at George Washington High School were chosen to be part of the 104 student delegates to attend the program.

While in Washington, the students will attend meetings and briefings with senators and congressional staff, President Obama, a Justice from the U.S. Supreme Court, leaders of cabinet agencies, and an ambassador to the United States.

Raymond said he is most excited to see how the senators interact on a day to day basis.

"To witness how our government actually works, and how the everyday interactions of the senators and the people involved in the government really is, I think that will be really cool," said Raymond.

The students chosen for the prestigious program will also receive a $5,000 scholarship to be used toward college.
