Schools in counties around the area are working to catch up on missed days because of snow.
The Marion County BOE has made adjustments to its school calendar to make up lost time.
Teachers are permitted to eliminate meetings or other activities to get some time back, and the remaining two-hour early dismissals are gone.
Several schools have a significant amount accrued instructional time.
"For some of our schools they actually have several days of additional instructional time by the end of the year. Now we can't actually count those as days but it is additional minutes that students are in their classrooms," said Gary Price, Marion County Superintendent.
The academic calendar for next year is still up for discussion.
The board will hold a public meeting Monday night at 5 p.m. at North Marion High School.
