Judge Thomas Bedell, Harrison County's "Love Judge" presided over many weddings on Friday including the annual mass wedding ceremony.
On Friday at noon, seven couples came together for the ceremony that has been a tradition for the last 12 years.
Six of those couples were newlyweds and one couple renewed their vows.
Some had been engaged for quite a while, and others decided to get married on a whim.
"I originally wanted to do it as a surprise, wake her up and say hey lets go get married today. She actually got it out of me so we decided to come here and get married and it's going to be a really cool experience," said Ryan Lavoie, one of the grooms.
Judge Bedell tried to keep the ceremony as traditional as possible with vows and finishing with cake and punch.
There was also a contest for the longest engagement and best kiss.
Those two couples won either a couples massage at Tuscan Sun Spa or a gift certificate for dinner at the 5th Floor in Clarksburg.
Judge Bedell also performed more traditional single weddings on Friday.
